Calligrapher Kim Jang-Hyun captivates audiences across the ACT

With the generous support of the Academy of Korean Studies, the ANU’s Korea Institute proudly hosted multiple award-winning calligrapher Kim Jang-hyun from 23 to 28 February 2014. During his stay, Mr Kim gave a two-day workshop for students and the general public, visited Narrabundah College to lecture on the many different styles of Korean calligraphy, and opened his large 3-month-long exhibition at ANU’s Menzies library with a wonderful performance on giant canvasses. The exhibition, which is open to the general public, will be on until early June this year; it comprises both Korean and Chinese calligraphy across a wide variety of styles.
